Status: Kansas had repeal bills that were killed in committee during this last legislative session. At the end of the legislative session a Common Core pause bill passed the Kansas Senate, but failed in the Kansas House on a 53-58 vote with 12 state representatives being absent for the Saturday vote.
There are a good number of state legislators who want to see the Common Core repealed and a grassroots movement that had a late start, but is gaining ground. Next legislative session looks promising.
